Kresnik's Visual Effects

A very fun visual effects sequence that posed quite a challenge.  None of the shots handed to me from the director, were tracked or had any additional data.  The wolves themselves are positioned in a murky smoke and the camera is often roving.  After experimenting with several different particle systems we still weren't happy.  The look that finally won out is driven by a customized fluid simulation and then rendered multiple times to create our smoky wisps.  This was then hand tracked into the shots and matted with the wolf movements through the shots.  Particle effects are still present as well in the final shot.  The end result played at Cannes and complimented the work of Haritude Ventures superbly.

A & C's 30 Second
Commercial Spot

This fun 30 second spot was filmed in a single shoot.  The client needed a commercial to drive engagement with their advertising time they had already invested in.  They were getting ignored and wanted a spot that would entertain and attract attention.  We pitched three commercials tailored to their company and they chose this humor piece.  Even with the sharp turn around time constraints it came out great and the client was very pleased.

Kaiser's LMP Internal Training

Kaiser LMP needed to communicate many management ideas and wanted to do it in a fun format that would help keep the viewers engaged.  They had captured some footage for traditional documentary style info but turned to us for a creative way to bring it all together.  This DARMA-like training video (as in the show Lost) style was requested and we implemented and also brought the animation together to create the short vignettes that kick of each section.

The Build Up

When Chris came to me I was already familiar with much of his story.  But encapsulating and distilling that incredible journey into a three minute video required several shoots including re-enacting a sequence from his youth. There is so much more to Chris and it all parallels his story from smoker to marathon runner.  The big challenge was deciding which parts of his life story to cut from the final video.  Initially, we were anticipating telling a five-to-seven minute story. The intensity was ratcheted up when we were informed that 3 minutes was the new limit.  The end result was a complete success.

Golden Backpack's Visual Communications

When a core NGO in Golden came to us in need of visual communications we had to tackle multiple challenges. More than just educating the community about a valuable non-profit in the city, we also had to tackle misconceptions of what need and poverty look like. You can hear the challenge taken head on in the writing which was a collaborative endeavor providing the best of all members thoughts and vetted throughout each round of updates in order to land on deadline and on message.

A fun before and after look at a (no budget) competition commercial we did years ago for fun.
