Moving Imagery

We have our first cinemagraph pages up and running!  In other words, the first two pages of our graphic novel experience our up and available for viewing.

As you can tell, we are going for subtle movement.  We don't want something that overpowers the simple beauty of the story that is already present through the author's own voice. 

But a candle flickering at the window while Emily writes seems to embody the very idea of "Emily of New Moon".  Plus, it makes my little artist heart very  happy. 

For page 1, we went with the wind ruffling the pages of Emily's old yellow account book.  Again, subtlety. 

Too much movement can be very distracting.  We want to keep our readers' focus on the story and use the movement to enhance the experience, only. 

We work on this part as a team.  I create the artwork and Daniel creates the cinemagraph.  So far, so good!  We're liking the look of it and hope you do, too!
