Cinder Stone Retaining WallThis is one of my older scans from before I started capturing raw. 120 jpg images. It is still a beautiful asset that could very suitably be made into a tiling asset. I've also finally begun adding a gray geometry render so that you can see the detail levels of just the geometry. Enjoy! Tan Distressed Brick This is an interesting tan brick subject because it has an artificial distressed look and a generally unattractive color. You can also see that even though it is a linear surface it resolved the model with a bit of a curve to it. Linear subjects are computationally challenging that way, I think. Enjoy! Red Brick Wall Your run of the mill red brick wall. It's funny how fake the real stuff looks because it seems so pristine. This is the exterior of my town home. Red Brick Varied Wall I hate the perfection of the above scan so here is a more varied red brick pattern from my neighbors place. I really like the contrast of the black elements in this varied red brick wall subject.
Stone Block - One These huge stone blocks seem to be made of concrete and are a couple feet long. This one had such beautiful wear on it I wanted to scan it first. 137 RAW images. Stone Block - Two This is the second of the stone block scan series. I snatched it up so that there would be plenty of "normal wear" blocks to intermix with the heavily distressed block scan I did. Sorry I accidentally flipped the block. This was covered with 91 RAW images on my Samsung NX300. Stone Blocks - Three & Four Here are some stone blocks with low amounts of deterioration to them. These would help round out a wall asset that is populated from these scans. 106 RAW images shot with my Samsung NX300 with the 18-55 lens. There was still snow on the ground when I shot these so it was a perfect overcast day. Speckled Stone Face Large - One These large stone block faces actually come from some Crypts I scanned when I first began my search for hewn stone subjects. These scans are not as recessed but that are still pretty cool and they are larger in size than the previous stock blocks. Unfortunately I only covered this scan with 20 RAW images so there is some noise near the extremities. I am learning to think of each point as needing overlap by at least three images instead of just two.
