Yellow Traffic Barrier I've finally begun to experiment with my RAW image processing and I'm loving it. These Concrete Block subjects were perfect and I drive by them everyday. So I finally got the chance to scan them. Wouldn't you know it, while I was scanning I was stepping all over those pokey little thorns that stick in your shoes. Well, I didn't realize it until I knelt down to get some lower angle shots and got three of them in my knee. Ouch! After picking them out of my flesh, I finish my scan. I hope you enjoy these assets! :) Yellow Concrete Block (1)OneYellow Concrete Block (2)Two The second of the two yellow concrete blocks. This one was a bit more trouble to scan because it has less signs of wear. I've also attempted to use a different method for unwrapping the UV's. I'm not sure I like it better, but it solved the overlapping UV results that I kept getting in ZBrush on the rebar handles. This was also the first time I used the high pass filter mask directly in the displacement channel in ZBrush, which helps me keep from introducing distortion in my model when applying the extra surface detail. Enjoy! Striped Concrete Block This last concrete block is just a beautiful subject. I loved the way the black stripes added so much to the contrast (sorry my render had too much specularity). I've been wrestling with my UV unwrapping and this guy gave me lots of trouble (I've been trying really hard to get those dumb handles to unwrap correctly without creating overlapping UV's). At any rate, I finally got an unwrap that looks good. Enjoy! Yellow Post I've been wanting to add some of the smaller details to this collection such as this yellow post. I finally found a great target which is often in shade and has this beautiful worn texturing to it. :) Yellow Concrete Cylinder Base Finally got this concrete cylinder base all assembled. I love all the flaking paint detail on this.
