Rock Wall After being inspired by some miniature work by a fellow 3D scanner my wife and I decided to get started on a castle erector set of assets. So we toast this part of the collection with this rock wall. We decided to build our subjects out of Cindercone because it has some lovely micro details to it. We also made our mortar out of a mixture of sand and Mod Podge. This rock wall was constructed on a foam board which supplied support while we built it. It really has a ton of geometric detail and gave me a bit of trouble when I processed it in ZBrush. But it is complete and here for your rustic enjoyment!
Rock Turret Tower It's been a long while since we've completed one of our miniature scans. Actually this one isn't really completed but we needed to finish it and get it out of our work space. So here is our rock turret tower. This is made from Cindercone and a sand mix for the mortar. We built it on a large cardboard tube. I wanted to make sure that I covered this one well so it was scanned with 290 RAW images. It happened to be a fantastic banked in Sunday so I just setup outside instead of scanning on my turntable setup inside. Rock Support Base This support base was a part of a larger bridge project that met its untimely end during an unexpected downpour of rain. The bridge project was a lose but this support base was still an excellent subject even if it is unfinished. Enjoy!
