Mining Cart To say that I'm a little excited about this asset post is just a tiny bit of an understatement. This is one of my best scans and I've had some fantastic clean up work done by Vitaly. And now you get to have it to download right here! This mining cart was a bit of work just to locate a proper subject. I visited mines up in the Rockies and wasn't really satisfied because most of the gear was too modern. I'm going for a gold rush era look. At any rate I finally located this suitable subject at the School of Mines just down the street. It was setup outside and had Museum lettering running across one side. It was too close to the building which made it hard for me to get some of the sides of the cart but also helped because I could climb up the building a tad and get some great overhead shots from higher up. It took me about an hour or so to scan it in 502 RAW images. But once the processing was run I was the proud owner of this very clean scan. Vitaly when to work breaking it all out into it's pieces and remodeling it all, reprojecting, et cetera. And here it is, enjoy!
Stone Pillar Recently discovered more great western/fantasy stone structures here around Denver. This stone pillar is a great part of a styled park just up the road from me. This was a little tricky to scan because of the gale force winds that were knocking me around while I photographed. But all resolved successfully. 146 RAW images and some motion blur here or there. 3D Scan - Stone Pillar (Remnant Studios) by Cristian Magadan (MGD Films) on Sketchfab MLStone Memorial Recently, I've started looking for subjects for my western cemetery scene I plan to have built. So when I spotted this little stone memorial, I thought it would fit perfectly. I had to clean off the actual inscription on the marble plaque in ZBrush and Photoshop. So now it is ready to be repurposed. There was some snow on the ground but since the ground wasn't level anyway, some of it will likely get cut off the bottom. 160 RAW images. I am just glad I was able to recover the top of the structure as it stood taller then me. Stone Archway I finally found a location that had a stone archway for me to scan. I've been wanting to get one of these because they are so darn useful for everything from a doorway to window arches and tunnels. It was a bit tricky to scan because I wanted to get close shots all along it. But 358 RAW images later, I feel like I obtained solid coverage. Wood Retaining Wall I always want to acquire great wood surfaces but I commonly have trouble with them. This scan suffers from not being shot in RAW and having snow on it. Sorry I accidentally flipped it over during my processing. But it's still a decent asset scanned from 133 images.
